Man Utd legend Charlton: Retirement not in Ferguson thoughts
Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton is confident Sir Alex Ferguson has no plans of retiring.
Charlton sees Ferguson as pivotal to the continued success of United - and the good news for the club's supporters is that he sees no signs of Ferguson being ready to call it a day.
"I'm not even thinking about it," he told the Manchester Evening News. "The more you talk about it the more important it seems to become.
"I don't see anything in his body language to suggest he's thinking about retirement. He had a stab at it once and decided it wasn't right.
"I think most people would say we thought it was going to change his mind when he announced it last time.
"He is a genius. His decision making, his evaluation of players - he sees right into them. He is magic.
"He makes the job of directors at United easy. We've never had an argument since he came. We've never even raised our voices.
"He says himself sometimes that we've not won enough European Cups and you think, `You're mad, we've won three,' but it's not enough for him.
"I think we've got a chance again this year, but to win the European Cup you have to be good in your own league."
