Man Utd keeper Van der Sar heaps praise on Kuszczak

Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has spoken of his admiration for teammate Tomasz Kuszczak.

The pair were reported to not see eye-to-eye, but Van der Sar insists he is delighted with the way Kuszczak has performed in his absence this season.

"I’d like to go on record as saying what a good job Tomasz [Kuszczak] did over the last couple of months," van der Sar says told United Review. "With so many injuries in defence, it wasn’t easy for him to come in and perform so well under a lot of pressure.

"When you get injuries, sometimes players are there waiting for their opportunity. When you get the chance to play you have to make the most of it and he did really well, so I just want to say well done to him."
