Man Utd have second thoughts over Toulouse striker Gignac

Manchester United are set to step up talks for Toulouse striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

The Daily Star says after seeing Real Madrid clinch a deal for Lyon forward Karim Benzema, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will turn to Gignac.

Though after one impressive season in which he scored 24 goals there are still doubts over whether he has the pedigree to be a top class forward.
