Man Utd defender Evans copped Fergie blast

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans copped a blast from manager Sir Alex Ferguson during their 3-2 win at AC Milan.

The Daily Mail says while his players celebrated a goal from Paul Scholes, that was every bit as fortuitous as the third minute strike from Ronaldinho it cancelled out, Ferguson unleashed that infamous hairdryer in the direction of his Northern Irish defender. 'F******g wake up,' screamed the spitting-mad Scotsman and with some justification.

Quite what Mike Phelan then whispered to Ferguson in trying to restrain him will stay between them but the manager's assistant might have suggested that Evans was not alone in deserving such a blast.
