Man Utd boss Ferguson yet to decide on veteran quartet

The futures of four key Manchester United players are yet to be decided.

The Telegraph says Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Edwin van der Sar have made a combined 2,210 senior appearances but all four are out of contract at the end of this season. While Giggs and Scholes are set to be offered one-year extensions in the new year, Neville, 34, faces an anxious wait.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson expects Van der Sar, 39, to reveal his intentions next month after previously floating the idea of retirement at the end of the season.

I think he should retain scholes and giggsy. Neville can go. Van der Sar can go too. Giggsy and Scholes should be back ups to the younger players next season so we can rebuild our team. We have done so well over the past four years, let's not shoot ourselves in the foot by not rebuilding.

Neville should be let go and be offered a coaching position, giggs and scholes really need limited playing time next year if they are to stay, not feature every week fergie, as for vds, if he wants to stay then let him, he's super athletic for his age and his age isn't as much as a concern for a goalie. I would still like akinfeev though.

your a loser, these guys are united legends, show them respect, they are the reason why our young players are as good as they are now, they're learning from the best in the game, especially giggs, your a tool!!!
