Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson mixed with Werder Bremen officials last week at Fulham.
Ferguson was in London to see Mesut Ozil in action in Werder's friendly against Fulham.
Interestingly, the Guardian says after the game, Fergie remained at Craven Cottage and mixed with Werder officials in the club's boardroom.
United, Chelsea and Barcelona are all chasing the Germany international.
