Man Utd boss Ferguson has fitness concerns for Defour

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has concerns over transfer target Steven Defour's fitness.

The Daily Star says Ferguson is keen to strengthen his midfield options in the next transfer window.

He is keeping close tabs on Belgium international Defour as the Standard Liege star slowly recovers from a broken foot.

But if Fergie decides a move for £10m-rated Defour is too risky in January, he will step up his bid for an alternative instead.
