Man Utd’s van der Sar not ready for retirement
Submitted by Andrew Slevison on Mon, 07/26/2010 - 00:47
Manchester United veteran Edwin van der Sar admits he is not contemplating retirement just yet.
The Dutch goalkeeper, who turns 40 in a few months’ time, says he is loving life as a Red Devils player at the moment and plans on it staying that way for some time.
"You play in the Premier League, the Champions League, you have a chance of winning titles and trophies and competing against the best players,” he said.
"It is something that is too good not to do it anymore. I still very much enjoy it.
"Even at my age it is still a pleasure to put in all the hard work so you are in the starting XI on a Saturday.”
