Man City's Santa Cruz: I can handle Burnley boos
Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz says he's ready for the boos from Burnley fans today.
They traditionally give anyone associated with their bitter rivals from Blackburn Rovers a hostile welcome, though the Paraguayan will not stand for any bull.
Santa Cruz said: "I'm a City player now and, of course, I want to score for City.
"We are looking forward to three points and staying in the top four of the table. It would also be really nice for me to score, as it would be coming at exactly the right time.
"I'm just starting playing again and, if I start scoring, it's good for my confidence. Though I never had the chance to play Burnley when I was at Blackburn, I know they are big rivals and all the stories surrounding that.
"If Burnley's fans boo me, I won't mind. If they don't like Blackburn, then I won't like them either. I will always support and love Blackburn.
"So if I score and make all my old friends at Blackburn happy, that would be great."
