Tottenham have been linked with a £6m swoop for Manchester City midfielder Michael Johnson.
The 21-year-old is close to full fitness after a nightmare spell with an abdominal injury which has wrecked his Blues progress.
But with Gareth Barry and Nigel de Jong firmly ahead of him in the Blues pecking order, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp could be ready launch a January raid, report The Sun.

we need johnson to go with modric in the cebtre the minfield rm-lennon cm johnson cm modric lm kranjar comon tht would well good with defoe and crouch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
80mil. well done taking the *****. Johnson? He might be a good player but I would rate him any better than our top 4 midfielders, especially an injury like his. Ill take O'Hara, Adel or Gio any day ahead of Johnson and thats not meant to be disrespectful to him. He is a good player but these papers just make up these rumours. Anyway City will need him and will not let him go...we dont need him
actually hes a potential 80miill player he could go on loan for latter half of the season for the 6mill though..which would be a good idea to bring him back to scratch without compromising man city's top four push.
