Man City to use Neville, Van Persie in Adebayor appeal

Manchester City are confident of getting Emmanuel Adebayor's improper conduct charge overturned on appeal.

Manchester City are confident of getting Emmanuel Adebayor's improper conduct charge overturned on appeal.

The Daily Mail says the FA disciplinary commission will hear a case of alleged improper conduct against Adebayor on Thursday.

He has served a three-match ban for a stamp on Robin van Persie during the recent 4-2 win over Arsenal but is contesting a second charge relating to the manner in which he celebrated a goal.

City's lawyers will suggest Van Persie also celebrated improperly on scoring, as did Manchester United skipper Gary Neville after his team's late winner in the derby. Neither player was charged.
