Man City striker Benjani seeking fresh start at Sunderland

Manchester City striker Benjani Mwaruwari hopes to kickstart career at Sunderland.

Zimbabwe striker Benjani is hoping he can force his way into the Sunderland team.

He said: "It was difficult for me at Manchester City. As a player you want to play games of football so I'm very happy to be at Sunderland now.

"Lets hope I get many more games for Sunderland than I got for Manchester City.

"Sunderland is a good club - when you are not playing and another Premier League team approaches, it is a perfect fit.

"Coming here will give me more of a chance to play."
