Man City must go to £30M for Everton's Lescott

Manchester City must break the bank for Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

The Daily Star Sunday says Lescott has been told that even if he writes out a transfer request he won’t get a move to Man City.

Incredibly, City could now have to break the British transfer record to get the Everton defender.

That means boss Mark Hughes forking out more than the £29.1million Man United paid Leeds for Rio Ferdinand seven years ago.
