Man City to make Liverpool’s Torres first £100M player
Manchester City are willing to pay £100 million to convince Liverpool to sell Fernando Torres.
The People says in a move that will eclipse Manchester United's £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid last summer, City will flex their financial muscles and smash the transfer record for a player regarded as the best forward in the game.
And if 25-year-old Torres moves to Eastlands he'll become the first star to earn a £200,000-a-week salary in a deal that could net him £50m over five years.
Those are the astonishing figures being assembled by City chiefs who are determined to land the stellar signing who will form the figurehead of their drive to join the world's elite clubs.
Chief executive Garry Cook failed to entice former AC Milan star Kaka to Manchester exactly a year ago in a deal that would have been worth £100m.
Now though, City believe their increased profile and their intended aim of becoming a major power in the game is being taken seriously - and the time is right to turn that ambition into reality.

If I were Liverpool I'd sell for that kind of money because you could get 3 really good players and Torres is way too injury prone
tru say chelsea fc u guys wil get title
Why Mancheaters will win everything?
1. They have a striker like Berbatov who has scored one goal more than Vermaelen already.
2. They have a pighead like Rooney who can score hattrick against medicore teams like Portsmouth and Hull City.
3. They can play competitive football and just lose by 1 goal against a 3rd tier team like Leeds at their own ground, Old Toilet.
4. They have bought Ronaldo and Tevez.
5. Carrick, Nani, Anderson, Macheda makes the best midfield in Europe. I mean all the ***** Europe. Got it???
6. Old Van Der Sar gets injured timely. They have the best goalkeeper in EPL to cover that, Foster who is the fifth choice goalkeeper in England squad which is full of world class goalkeepers like Robert Green and only Spain's fifth choice goalkeeper like Almunia can become the regular keeper.
7. They have only 700M in debt, less than any European club. They have made 17M profit this year which makes the debt 717M only.
8. They lead the table by 2 points and they have 2 games in hand. So Chelsea and Arsenal can't overtake them.
9. If they feel they can't win the EPL, they will bribe the EPL like always, which will only add some multi-millions to their debt. But its no problem for ManUtd.
10. They have injury gods like Ferdinand and Vidic.
11. Their fans are beggars like themselves.

Why Ass-e-anal will win everything?
1. They have won everything int he last 5 years. The culture will continue this year
2. They have world class players like Traore, Sagna, Denilson. Chelsea, ManUtd and Liverpool don't have world class players that can match Traore, Almunia and Denilson.
3. They are the best. They are good enough to win Coca Cola League without Fabregas.
4. They beat a team like Chelsea 3-0 in their own Stadium.
5. They have lightning fast striker like Eduardo and world's best finisher in Nicolas Bendtner.
6. They have the best keeper among the the big Four. Almunia is better than Reina, Cech and Van Der Sar.
7. They have already won Champions league zero times. We will win that like we won that before.
