Man City keeper Hart happy Given staying

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is happy Shay Given is staying.

At Eastlands, Given has decided to stay and fight for his place — and give advice to Hart.

“I can’t speak highly enough of the guy,’’ said Hart. “I respect him and look up to him not just as a goalkeeper but as a person. I just love working with him.

“We’ve both been quite open about the situation and we both respect each other. We both know it’s not our decision so we’ve not been malicious towards each other.

"I’ve no doubt he had endless clubs wanting him, but it’s not quite as simple as saying ’I want to go there and turning up’.’’
