Man City chiefs convinced landing Chelsea skipper Terry
Manchester City are convinced they can prise John Terry away from Chelsea.
The Mirror says while Terry returned to Chelsea’s Cobham training headquarters for his first meeting with new coach Carlo Ancelotti yesterday, no members of the Blues high command were there to welcome him.
And that has left City officials convinced it is a 'matter of time' before Terry is unveiled as the shock transfer upset of the summer.
With City maintaining they have been given assurances from sources close to Terry that he is ready to consider leaving the Bridge to become the figurehead of the Eastlands outfit, the absence of the Chelsea top brass at Cobham was seen as a further sign of estrangement between the player and the Blues.
City are understood to be taking huge encouragement from the lack of a public vow of loyalty to Chelsea by Terry while also claiming the Londoners have not told them directly to stay away from the player.
City are ready to wait “as long as it takes“ up to the August 31 transfer deadline to get their man, in a mirror image of Chelsea’s own drawn-out pursuit of Shaun Wright-Phillips from the Eastlands club four years ago.

LEKAN DUROJAYE u tool! chelsea are not a big team, abramovich came flashed the cash they won a couple of league titles and couple of fa cups, besides that they are a smaller club than man city( smaller stadium, fan base, shirt sales etc) and as far as winning trophies before the abramovich era city had won more than chelsea - dont forget chelsea had only ever won 1 league title before abramovich, so next time do your homework before you make stupid comments you loser!!
what a funny team Man City is... They are trying to be relevant or what? Why would d captain of a big team like Chelsea and also, country-England be interested in a team like Man City? It's all shit... Get a more interesting story to sell ur team ok?
I am a Chelsea fan who thinks Terry will go to City, its all about the MONEY and there are few if any exceptions, we all would like loyalty, invest in a dog or a couple of cats
