Man City chief Cook: I knew Owen would score derby winner

Manchester City chief Garry Cook admits he knew Michael Owen would score Manchester United's winner in their 4-3 derby win earlier this season.
In time, he hopes it will be City who everyone expects to score the late winners.
“I remember turning to my wife when Michael Owen was warming up and then they stripped his tracksuit off and I leaned over and said, ‘Watch this, there’s a fairytale about to unravel here.’ ” he told The Times. “I don’t know what made me say it really but I just did, and sure enough.
“Everybody goes to Man United and hopes they can beat one of the great teams in the world. I want people to come to Manchester City and fear the club. That’s called success and we are building towards it.”
