Malouda: Chelsea delivered ideal response after Wigan setback
Chelsea winger Florent Malouda says their victory over Liverpool was the ideal response after last week's defeat at Wigan.
"After the Wigan game we had to speak and to be fair everybody knows it was not a performance we were expecting," Malouda admitted to chelseafc.com. "We had an important game in the Champions League and it was hard but we won, and in the league we had a big team to play against.
"We are not trying to please everybody, I think it was better to struggle a bit in Cyprus and win the game, which was most important.
"You have to win some games in difficulty, we want to be qualified as quickly as possible, and sometimes you have to win games when it doesn't look good. If we keep on winning then we have confidence for games like today."
