Malaysia striker Indra Putra Mahayuddin will get a second chance to take on English champions Manchester United this weekend.

The 27-year old is one of only two players who was involved the last time the Red Devils took on Malaysia in 2001 and is excited about competing against some of the world’s best again.

“I never thought I would get the chance to play against United and be on the same pitch with Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes again,” he said.

"This will be a tough test for our young team but I think there is a lot of talent in this side.

“These boys can really play and we will try to gain United's respect this time.”

The Malaysian national team takes on Manchester United this Saturday at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
