Lucio says Man Utd ace Berbatov good enough for Ballon d’Or

Inter Milan defender Lucio believes Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov could be a future Ballon d'Or winner.

Lucio insisted that £30.75million Bulgarian hitman Berbatov was the equal of world superstars Kaka, Wesley Sneijder and Ronaldinho.

He said: “With the natural ability that guy has with a football we could be talking about him being the world player of the year this season.

“I’ve played with Kaka, Ronaldinho, Wesley Sneijder – and Berbatov is as naturally gifted as any of them.

“It took him time to adjust at Manchester United but, once he did, I was always confident he would hit this sort of form.

“I think we have just started to see the best from him. He is now entering his peak years and I am sure he will get better and better with every game this season.”
