Local traffic cops deny Real Madrid star Ronaldo “untouchable”

Madrid traffic cops deny Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is "untouchable" after reports claiming he dodged a speeding notice last week.

Correio da Manha says Ronaldo, late for training, was stopped by traffic cops for speeding where he knocked over several traffic cones as he speeded towards Real's training HQ.

The report says Ronaldo was able to avoid any trouble by posing for photographs with the city officials before being waved on his way to Valdebebas by the officers.

But in reaction, local police insist there was never any incident and there is no evidence on their mobile radar. A spokesman added: "The Civil Guard has excused nothing and Cristiano is not untouchable."
