Liverpool winger Albert Riera clashed with a young reserve player, which sparked his rift with manager Rafa Benitez, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says Benitez was shocked by the Spain winger’s outburst at the unnamed youngster which was quickly defused by other senior players.
Riera was immediately excluded from Liverpool’s squad and is unlikely to force his way back in with Benitez suspending his £6million signing until Monday and hammering him with a fine of around £70,000.
Benitez has also been infuriated by the timing and contents of an interview with a Spanish radio station, in which Riera claimed he had been ostracised, accused his boss of lacking communication skills and described Liverpool as "a sinking ship".

i wrote 19 lines to make easier for u to understand what im saying..because from the looks of ur dumb comments,u have a very narrow mind..and to prove my point look at ur previous post..which dumb ass counts how many lines someone has post..and sorry to say i do know what i am talking about which is why i can afford to write in ur terms "19 lines of shit".. and i apologize to all Spanish fans when i said all Spanish fans are ungrateful..to correct my mistake some of the fans in the Spanish league are ungrateful but all of the Madrid and Barcelona Spanish base fans are ungrateful...which is a given fact when u watch La Liga..i suggest to u craig to stop buying into whatever the paper says and to stop believing in what ever ur shit ass president perez has to say..and most of all u better get ur head out of ur ass and start to see the facts that the madrid team of now are a waste of money..250million spent and all u could afford was the 2nd round of the champions league while u got ur asses handed to u by a lower league team in the spanish cup and u had to rely on luck and prayed barca would slip up just so u could go top of the table...kindda redundant aint it..where were the promises of a treble...bunch of bull from dumb asses who got their noses so high up their ass that they dont even know where it begins and where it ends
and how stupid to count them all.
LOL, Dani, nice post. I don't know about the Spanish fans bit, though -- it seems an unfair generalization. Benitez has really led Liverpool down a merry lark around the bush imo. He was extremely lucky that Torres somehow grew up as a Liverpool fan and dreamed of coming to the club.
