Lippi: Where are the Italians at Inter Milan?
Italy coach Marcello Lippi says he cannot get excited about Inter Milan's Champions League triumph.
Lippi bemoaned there being no Italians on the pitch as Inter defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “You might think so watching the Champions League, but it's not like that at all.
“For example, what is there Italian about Inter who have all foreigners, including the Coach?”

To the guy who left whats the problem? How can you be so disrespectful to a world cup winning coach! who has proved himself by putting 11 italians on the pitch and winning!! What have you won?? Fair enough if your ferguson or cappello!! Also this italians can only play defense is complete balony!! How can you win 4 world world cups (6 finals),1 euro cup(2 finals) and dominate in all euro cup at club level over the last 50 years! by just playing defensive footie its nonsense!! Who was voted chelseas best ever player? Zola! West ham? Di Canio Juventus? Baggio/Del piero 1982 W.Cup? Rossi 1990? schillachi -all very defensive !! No doubt we produced the best defensive players has well Baresi etc But You obviously never watched milan in the 90s (1994 "best final ever"-A.Ferguson) or Juve when the three foreign rule was in place and the last euro cup A.C milan won they had 7 or 8 italians on the pitch. There is no doubt italian club football has hit rock bottom over the last couple of years and only up until tues had inter produced, is this down to the poor standard of foreign players in italian footie? Juve were appalling the other night!! It is no doubt that the prem has got the best of the foreign player (italy used to attract Maradona,Zidane,Ronaldo etc..) and lets not forget chelsea only had 2 english, Terry was shite and lampard went missing! Arsenal have none and Man U hav 4/5! I think Lippi has got a point this is meant to be a european comp ,countries against each other now its just clubs and money dictates who has the best player, is the football more exciting or better quality?? in Italy definitely not. Cappello has echoed the same thing it has to be frustrating to be a national coach in Italy more so in England.

Lippi was pointing out that Inter Milan are a team of all foreign players, who couldn't possibly have the love for the shirt that a player who has been brought up from a child in the club like Santon. In Inter Milan those types of players are few and far between...
Also the reason for the European Competitions is to promote the style of football played in different regions in Europe but Inter Milan does not promote the Italian style of play which isn't always as defensive as most make it out to be. Italian football at times can be the most technically gifted and tactical of all the world competitions.
And alot of Inter fans and also the managing staff, executives etc, always bitch and moan that the Italian national team never has any Inter players in it and that its filled with Juventus and AC Milan players, but who do they expect to be put in the national side?? Players who have seen more of the bench than the field?? I dont think so... The only Italian player Inter have that could be good enough for the national squad is Balotelli who doesn't even want to be at Inter anyway.
Inter Milan is a joke and I hope they get knocked out ASAP!
What is the problem with this guy Lippi. Ok Boss, brazil and portugese prodice good stylish footballers.. Then why the heck dont they stay at their resp countries. When a league has such players, naturally, the leagues get good notice world wide, n moreover the quality of the league increases, and so dos the quality of the inhouse talents when they face mcuh better quality.
BTW Mr Lippi, tell me which club has complete squad of players from same country??? Its only when you have players from different nations, players will learn the art of playing different styles. n BTW that is what is actually giving life to football. else English will always play long ball, italians will always play defense, brazilians wil always play dribbling, portugese wil just wait for counter attack all the time, etc etc...
Limited Scope of Learning ACTUAL FOOTBALL...
So if Manutd, Barca/Real, Inter Win the tournament, rather than sitting as a national coach and bullshitting around your stinky mouth. shut the hell up and appreciate the players who are putting their life on pitch learning and sweating and giving life to the game, inplace of your same nationality player's clubs, who actually does not do anything but to sit and watch the good games on TV and play boring games.
