Lennon wants to build his Celtic around Arsenal defender Campbell

Neil Lennon wants Celtic to push the boat out for Arsenal defender Sol Campbell.

The Scottish Sun says caretaker boss Lennon views Campbell, 35, as the ideal man to drive the Hoops towards the championship next term.

It's understood he could be lured to Parkhead on a two-year deal with the option of a third year.

Arsene Wenger has offered the former England stopper only a 12-month extension. Lennon could land the imposing defender on a £25,000-a-week deal as long as he has the security of a longer contract.
