Le Havre chief Belsoeur: Everyone backing Chelsea ban

Le Havre managing director Alain Belsoeur says the majority of Europe will be cheering FIFA's decision to ban Chelsea from signing players until January 2011.

Chelsea have been found guilty by Fifa of inducing Gaël Kakuta, an 18-year-old winger, to break his contract with Lens two years ago. They will be unable to buy any players during the next two transfer windows.

Le Havre are battling a similar case against Manchester United over their deal for Paul Pogba this year.

Belsoeur told The Times: “We are not the only club who have had players stolen.

“The reputation of British clubs is that they don't produce many players for their national team but take them away from foreign countries. We hope this [Fifa's ruling] will change the behaviour of English clubs, but we will have to see.”

Here we go again. 'Michel, can you get Chelsea done for us. Please.' Nothing better than getting the school prefect to bully another boy on your behalf. Spineless, pathetic and typical of Platini-FIFA being so clearly driven by some kind of anti-English agenda.
Fact is our league is the best paid, players work in the free market of the EU and if that's hard to take then tough. French clubs should get their acts together and try to compete fairly instead of running to FIFA every time they feel hard done by.

French clubs have no right to cry foul, they take kids from all over Africa for nothing and even go to the extend of converting them to play for France at the expense of Africa.Platini sure has a vendetta against chelsea or anything english.Where was FIFA when chelsea was robbed of victory by Barca.Where is Platin when the clowns at Madrid do their business.Shame on you.................
