Laudrup turns down Atletico Madrid approach

Michael Laudrup has rejected an approach from Atletico Madrid.

The Dane is available, but refused to consider succeeding Abel Resino when sounded out by Atletico president Enrique Cerezo.

Laudrup told Politiken: "No, I will not be the coach of Atletico Madrid. The only thing I can say is that I am honored that my name has been associated with a club so glorious."
