Lampard: Chelsea would’ve won Premiership last season with Hiddink from start
Frank Lampard says Chelsea would've won the League last season if Guus Hiddink had been appointed from the start of the campaign.
The Chelsea midfielder is convinced Hiddink's arrival sparked their improvement into this season under Carlo Ancelotti.
“The difference started last year in mid-season for us,” Lampard said. “We had a very bad patch and then when Guus came in it all changed. If we had played that well all season we would have won the League.
“Hiddink’s record was fantastic. We finished the season very strongly and have carried that on. We’re very organised, there’s great spirit, and our front men are as good as anyone in the world at the moment. When you have [Didier] Drogba and [Nicolas] Anelka up front you’ve got a great chance.”
