Ladder positions don’t bother Sydney FC – Cole

Sydney FC’s Shannon Cole insists their ladder position heading into tonight’s clash with league leaders Adelaide United doesn’t mean anything.

Sydney FC’s Shannon Cole insists their ladder position heading into tonight’s clash with league leaders Adelaide United doesn’t mean anything.

The reigning champions are currently holding the rest of the A-League up and are in desperate need of a win in the Week 9 clash at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Cole says the fact that it is 11th versus 1st doesn’t change their mindset ahead of the fixture.

''It doesn't matter where both teams are on the ladder, it's a game of 11 v 11, and whenever we're at home, no matter who we're playing against, we expect to win, and this time is no different,'' Cole told the Herald.

''We've seen in the A-League that anyone can beat anyone, and this time we have to go out and make those 50-50 chances go our way. You've got to create your own luck and you've got to keep plugging away until things change. I've got no doubt they will.''
