Kyle has recurrence of injury and misses Hearts pre-season
Hearts striker Kevin Kyle will miss his new club's pre-season trip to Italy after aggravating an abductor muscle injury.
The former Kilmarnock striker has been given an injection by the surgeon who carried out the summer operation, after he reported some inflammation.
The 29-year-old has been told to rest for a week and will not be on the plane when the Hearts squad flies out to Il Ciocco in Tuscany on Saturday.
Manager Jim Jefferies told Hearts News: "He's just overdone it a little bit so he won't be joining us in Italy, there's simply no point.
"He'll have a rest, get fit and then be ready to get back to work once we return next weekend."
