Dave Kitson will get the chance tonight to rescue his Stoke City career.
The former £5.5m record signing is expected to get the nod to start against Burnley at Turf Moor tonight and show that he really can cut it at the top.
Potters boss Tony Pulis said: “I had a chat with Dave a few weeks ago and since then he has really got his head down.
“Nobody came in for him in January, but he is still part of my plans. We have had so many games over the last few weeks that some of the players are mentally shattered.
“It is a massive game for them and us and Dave is very much in my thoughts.”
