Kewell and Neill lose Galatasaray boss Rijkaard

Frank Rijkaard has quit his post as Galatasaray manager, leaving Aussie teammates Harry Kewell and Lucas Neill without the man who brought them to the club.

The Dutchman and his assistant, Johan Neeskens, have left the club by mutual consent after a string of poor results in the Turkish Super Lig.

A club statement today on Gala’s official website read: "As of October 20, 2010, coach Frank Rijkaard and assistant coach Johan Neeskens have left the club by mutual consent.

"Galatasaray thanks Frank Rijkaard for his efforts and work to date, sharing with us his experience and know-how.”
