Keane looking at loan signing to bolster Ipswich squad
Ipswich boss Roy Keane is hoping to bolster his injury-ravaged squad with another loan recruit.
The Championship outfit have seen their defensive options decimated over recent weeks, with all three of their left-backs struck down by injury.
He claims to already be in talks with a Premier League side regarding the possibility of taking a player on a short-term basis, and hopes his efforts will pay dividends.
Keane said: "We're going to have a busy few months with injuries and suspensions.
"There's one area of the club I think needs strengthening. We are in discussions with a Premier League club, maybe something will happen next week.
"We have players available to do a job for us but it's not ideal playing a right-footer at left-back.
"But that's the way it's panned out, it seems to have been a problem since I walked in the door the left-back position.
"We think we have it covered with three of them, then they're all injured. We'll adapt to it and get on with it."
