Juventus remain determined to prise Benitez away from Liverpool

Juventus remain determined to prise Rafa Benitez away from Liverpool.

The Daily Mail says Juve are about to appoint Claudio Gentile as interim manager in a further indication that they intend launching a concerted attempt to prise Benitez away from Anfield in the summer.

The former Juve centre-back and Italy under-21 coach is seen as an ideal short-term replacement for Ciro Ferrara and will be handed the reins until the end of the season, when efforts will be intensified to persuade Liverpool boss Benitez to end six years on Merseyside and take over in Turin.
