Juventus GM Marotta reopens Dzeko talks with Wolfsburg: The market never closes

Juventus GM Beppe Marotta is working on a deal to bring Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko to Turin in January.

Sportmediaset says Marotta dined with Wolfsburg chief Dieter Hoeness last week to discuss the prospect of Momo Sissoko following Diego to the Bundesliga giants for the winter market.

This has opened the door for Juve to resume talks over a swap deal involving Dzeko.

The Bosnia international wants a move to Juve and turned down both Manchester City and Bayern Munich in order to keep himself available for the Bianconeri.

"The market is never closed ...." Marotta said yesterday during the presentation of new signings Armand Traore and Leandro Rinaudo.

I agree Tyler, He will be our new star striker like Trez was. He is simply the best striker in the world. 80 goals in 3 years.

Dzeko will arrive in Turin, either in January or next summer. It's clear that, just like Krasic, he only wants to play for Juventus and that will be defining factor. Dzeko will become the focal point of the new Juventus and will be the perfect long term replacement for the great David Trezeguet. If we can move Sissoko on at the same time and then buy Lassana Diarra all the better. Diarra is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and would be a great signing.
