J-League officials to meet with Tranmere Rovers
Representatives from Japan’s top league, the J-League, will meet with English League One club Tranmere Rovers this weekend.
16 Japanese football officials will be at Tranmere’s home, Prenton Park, for two days and will take in Saturday’s league clash with Peterborough United.
The visit is seen as a great opportunity to exchange ideas between the two parties and Tranmere boss Mick Horton was excited about the visit.
"We are delighted to be welcoming officials from the J-League later this week,” Horton said.
"Football is growing rapidly in Japan and the chance to exchange ideas with their executives was something we couldn't refuse.
"We are very proud the visiting party decided to spend time at Tranmere Rovers particularly as one of the key areas they wish to learn about is our club's community work, something we place great importance in."
