Marco began his professional career in 1993 with Marsala where he spent 1 year before playing with numerous other Italian sides. Marco was then transferred to Everton in England where he spent 1 year before returning to Perugia. In 2001 Marco was transferred to Inter Milan where he currently plays and has been very successful winning 5 Serie A titles, 3 Coppa Italia, 1 Uefa Champions league and 3 Supercoppa Italiana.
