Maicon began his professional career in 2001 with Cruzeiro where he won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Copa do Brasil and 2 Campeonato Mineiro. After 3 seasons there he moved onto Monaco for a short stint before moving to Inter Milan where he has been very successful winning the Serie A 4 times, 1 Coppa Italia, 2
Supercoppa Italiana and 1
UEFA Champions League.
