Italian politicians demand Lippi hand back World Cup wages

Italian politicians are calling for Italy coach Marcello Lippi to hand back his wages after their dismal World Cup campaign.
Italy had never previously gone out without winning a single game and suffered their first group phase exit since 1974.
Coach Lippi said in his Press conference that he took all responsibility for the failure.
“In that case he ought to give back his wages,” slammed Minister for Reforms Roberto Calderoli.
“FIGC President Giancarlo Abete should also resign, as he was the one responsible for choosing Lippi in the first place.”

Name a better 23 players? Italian supporters act like he really had a lake of players to pick from. C'mon now...it's now known that Italy has lacked a production of WORLD CLASS talent lately. Italy's golden era is over but there is one slowly growing. There's a gap between the Totti/Del Piero era to the Giovinco/Candreva era. Italia will rebound for 2014, watch!
the global financial crisis must have hit italy hard! No wonder they came last in their group without a win. They didnt have enough money to bribe and cheat their way to winning the cup! Atleast they still knew how to dive, cheating bastards!
Ok, so the coach didn't chose the right lineup. I agree with that. But the Italian players are to blame moreso. They sucked, BAD. I watched every one of their games and they were dismal. Even if the coach had the right tactics, players, etc... if the players played that way, they are going to lose.
