Iraq captain Akram pleased with loss to Spain
Iraq captain Nashat Akram has described the experience of losing to Spain 1-0 at the Confederations Cup as a good one.
The Asian champions went down to the European champions due to a David Villa goal but Akram was remainnig positive after such a close result.
"Everything about Spain is good. It is a great experience for us. They have so many good players and use the ball really well. When you play against Xavi it is a really good experience," he said.
"I am so proud that I played in the Confederations Cup against the best team in the world. We lost 1-0 – one mistake, but that is good. We are satisfied with that.
"When you play against Spain, you play against many good players and you are playing against some of the best players in the world."
