Inverness boss Craig Brewster has confirmed that Barry Wilson will leave the club in January.

The 36 year old becomes a free agent on January 19.

"Barry has been told we will not be giving him another contract," Brewster told The Press and Journal.

"It was an extremely tough decision to make but Barry wanted a decision as soon as possible.

"We will do whatever we can to look after him.

"He has been here for a long time and has been a great servant.

"What he has done for Caley Thistle is one of the major reasons why the club has done so well over the years.

"Now I need a new Barry Wilson.

"I would imagine there would be other clubs keen to take him and let's hope he gets sorted out."
