Inter Milan record breaker Mariga has no Man City regrets

Inter Milan midfielder McDonald Mariga has no regrets missing out on a move to Manchester City.

Mariga became the first Kenyan to play in the Champions League in last night's win at Chelsea.

"It is a dream come true to be here playing at this level with the greatest players, especially as a Kenyan I am very proud," Mariga told skysports.com.

"In Africa, Kenyans are not among the favourites to win games, but now they notice them. I need to improve and play more at this level, but to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world is a fantastic experience.

"Manchester City? Yes I almost join them, but it did not happen because of my work permit. But now I am at Inter with the best manager in the world."
