Real Madrid ended a trophyless season still pulling in a fortune.
Their income in 2009-10 increased by 8.6 per cent from £335million to £363.5m.
Real said their net profit had risen 11.5 per cent to £19.7m and net debt had shrunk from £268.5m to £201m.
The club - now managed by former Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho - did not give a figure for total debt, estimated at £575m at the end of the 2008-9 season.

madristas know finance? is that why, **QUOTE**: "The club did not give a figure for total debt, estimated at £575m at the end of the 2008-9 season"
yes, net debt is different from total debt, in that it takes into account the "liquid" assets available. that said, even if you have a ton of cash laying around, it does NOT mean that cash is actually yours to spend, nor does it mean that you are NOT in load of debt.
forbes' financial analysts listed madrid as running with a debt equal to 54% of its total worth (updated april 2010). http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/34/soccer-10_Soccer-Team-Valuations_Ran...
