Hughes: Man City must turn draws into three points
Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is desperate for his team to end a run of four consecutive draws and start winning games.
"The game at the weekend was a disappointment in terms of performance. In all the other games we'd drawn, I felt we'd done fine," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"We did well at Villa, and at Wigan we got something out of the game in difficult circumstances when we were down to 10 men.
"The Fulham game was disappointing in that we didn't protect a winning position, but overall the performance level was good. But against Birmingham, we allowed ourselves to play a type of game that we don't want to play, and as a consequence, our performance level wasn't where we expect to be.
"Saying that, we still took something out of the game even though we hadn't functioned as well as we knew we could, so that's a good sign. We've come through a spell where we've played three of our last four games away.
"We're back at home, where our form has been good for quite some time, so we're looking forward to getting back on track and getting more points on the board."
