Henry talks up New York Red Bulls title prospects

New York Red Bulls star Thierry Henry is talking up the prospects of winning the title this season.

Henry is feeling good about his fitness - and Red Bulls' MLS Cup chances.

"I said at the very beginning it's going to be hard to give it a good shot to win it all. (But) having seen that there are great competitors on this team, I think we're going to try to do it now,'' Henry told the New York Post.

"Before, you don’t know how the team is going to react, how Rafa (Marquez) was going to adapt, Dane Richards suddenly is playing like (a great player), Joel (Lindpere) is also stepping up.

"Some of the guys are playing very well. You couldn’t see this coming like its coming now. You couldn’t talk too early. But right now, in the situation we are one point behind Columbus, on the verge to make the playoffs I just think now it will be down to who will be fresh at the end of October and November.''
