Henry in doubt for NYRB’s second play-off

Thierry Henry is in danger of missing New York Red Bulls second play-off clash with San Jose Earthquakes on Thursday.

The French striker missed Saturday’s 1-0 win semi-final over the Quakes because of a knee injury and he admits it may keep him out of the return bout later this week.

"It is tough. I tried to practice but it was too painful. It was the cutting that was the worst,” he told the NY Post.

"I went to kick the ball and it hit the guy's leg, without ever getting the ball,” he said of the injury he sustained three weeks ago.

“That's when the leg just went out. It's normally a one-month injury, a four-week injury. Its three weeks tomorrow. So tomorrow will be a big day. I'll test it out, and try and see if I can play. It it's OK, I'll try to go Thursday. Maybe not start, but there Thursday (for the team).''
