New York Red Bull captain Juan Pablo Angel has fired a warning shot to the rest of the MLS clubs by saying their two new recruits are yet to fire.

Red Bulls new boys Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez are slowly getting used to their new teammates and playing in a brand new competition according to Angel who is of firm belief that they will be firing once the play-offs come around.

“There’s still a lot of work to be done,” Angel said after the 4-1 win over Toronto FC on the weekend. “We can see that as the season goes on we get stronger and stronger and I’m sure we’re going to be in a good shape if we get to make the playoffs.

“Rafa and Henry are getting fitter and better and you can see they’re getting sharper. Rafa today was outstanding. The goal was one of his trademarks and in general I’m very happy for what happened today.”
