Hart insists Portsmouth academy overhaul his idea

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart says he was behind the surprise overhaul of the club's academy staff.

A number of the Academy's coaching staff, including Mark Chamberlain and Paul Hardyman, were shown the door on Friday.

Hart insisted to The News: "It's part of a plan.

"It's part of restructuring within our Academy system. I look after football matters and it is part of my plan.

"It needed restructuring.

"That's all there is to say on the matter."
