Hamann: Man City gaffed selling Dunne
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Sat, 11/21/2009 - 10:36
Former Manchester City midfielder Didi Hamann says Mark Hughes gaffed allowing Richard Dunne to leave for Aston Villa.
City have been shipping goals since the Irishman's departure, a big error according to Hamann.
"I couldn’t understand why they let him go,” Hamann told the Daily Express. “He is a top-class defender and held the team together. Now they look vulnerable at the back.
“Hughes has bought well, although he’s paid too much for certain players, and has assembled a big squad. But there are already suggestions some are not happy because they are not playing week-in, week-out.
“When things don’t go well we will see how they handle the pressure and if they have the spirit to get the team out of trouble.”

lmao, best thing City ever did was ship the monster out, he cost us so many games, refused to help bring Onouha and Richards on for fear he would loose his place.

He is the defencive equivilent of David James, good but not good enough and its only a matter of time before City replace him with sheer class, watch this space, actually watch the January Transfer Window.
*Just SOUR GRAPES city* your loss is our gain and we just love dunny to bits thanks for the sale LOL
Thats ignoring all the own goals and gaffes Dunnie was responsible for is it? I see to recall Hamann being one of those trying to undermine Hughes. Hardly a great commendation.
