Grossman and Storey plan to plug up North Queensland Fury defence
Chris Grossman and Simon Storey have their sights set on plugging the holes in North Queensland Fury’s defence.
The Townsville club conceded three goals in Friday night’s season opening 3-3 draw with the Perth Glory and the defensive duo know they must perform better against reigning champions Sydney FC on Saturday evening.
"When you score three goals away from home you probably should win a game and defensively, especially from an individual point of view, we were a little bit disappointed," Grossman told the Townsville Bulletin.
Storey added: "We really could have done a lot more for each of the goals and we'll make sure we work hard during the week to correct those deficiencies.
“They (Sydney) will be hard to beat, but hopefully we can do what we did on Friday night and put in a really strong performance.”
