Griffiths to swap North Queensland Fury for Central Coast
North Queensland Fury midfielder/defender Rostyn Griffiths is set to sign for the Central Coast Mariners according to reports.
The 22-year old English-born former Australia U17 international is on the verge of finalising a deal with the Mariners where he will join former Fury teammate Daniel McBreen.
Griffiths began his professional career in Western Australia before moving back to the UK and spending close to four years with Blackburn Rovers.
He had loan spells with Scottish club Gretna and English League Two club Accrington Stanley before joining Adelaide United as an injury replacement player in January last year.
Griffiths was a consistent performer for the Fury in the 2009/10 season and laid claim to being the first player to score a goal for the first-year club in an A-League match.
